SHORT BIO

Maysam Khatib is a Master’s student in Data Science at the University of Cyprus. She holds a Bachelor’s degree (2024) in Computer Engineering from Birzeit University, where she graduated with High Distinction and spent a semester abroad at Universidad Autónoma de Madrid through the Erasmus+ program. Since 2024, she has been working as a Special Scientist (Researcher) at the University of Cyprus in the Laboratory for Internet Computing (LInC), focusing on adaptive LLM routing for energy-aware and privacy-preserving inference. She has also contributed to applied data science and machine learning projects in areas such as Airbnb price forecasting, and Arabic hate speech recognition, and has received awards in international AI hackathons and competitive programming contests.
