SHORT BIO

George is a Research Associate for the Marie-Curie Initial Training Network “RAIS” at the University of Cyprus. He received a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Bristol in 2021. His thesis, titled "Deep Learning for the Detection of European Wildlife from Challenging Camera Trap Imagery", created the first end-to-end pipeline for processing a large-scale European dataset obtained from motion-sensor cameras. During his final year, he was also a Teaching Assistant for Text Analytics (delivered to students doing a Master's in Data Science) and a Programme Teaching Assistant, for students doing a conversion master's in Computer Science.
