AdaM an Adaptive Monitoring Framework for Sampling and Filtering on IoT Devices

Intensive Care Window (ICW) application is a software framework that enables the retrieval and integration of data from inpatient-attached medical sensors found in modern Intensive Care Units.

ICW follows a modular design to retrieve data from different patient monitoring devices. The tool includes full-fledged interaction protocols and graphical user-interface to interact with intelligent medical devices (such as Phillips IntelliVue MP70 or Ventilator840 ).

VIVAGr is a graphical-oriented, real-time visualization tool for vehicular ad-hoc network connectivity graphs. It enables the effective synthesis of structural, topological, and dynamic characteristics of VANnet graphs, with a variety of parameters that affect the characteristics of a vehicular ad hoc network (wireless range, mobility models, road-network topology, market penetration ratio, and exhibited interference). The tool represents all active connections in real-time mode using mobility traces using a visual encoding syntax to represent semantic meanings and the effect of mobility and topology on vehicular network specific properties.

TrafficModeler is an open-source, graphical tool for the rapid high-level modeling and generation of vehicular traffic. TrafficModeler supports a variety of traffic definition models representing a wide range of traffic patterns. A set of traffic generation algorithms are implemented to convert high-level models to output compatible with SUMO, a popular open-source microscopic traffic simulator. TrafficModeler drastically reduces the time and effort required to generate traffic for SUMO. Furthermore, it can be easily extended to support other traffic simulators and to incorporate new types of traffic.

The FTW middleware platform is a novel framework which supports collecting a variety of sensor data (e.g., accelerometer, microphone, GPS, camera, external environmental sensor devices etc) with minimum energy consumption and cost in order to explore opportunities in three-dimensional domains (user activities, locations/places and social interactions). The data are sent to a server (i.e., Cloud infrastructure) for post-analysis. The proposed framework operates on both mobiles phones and servers providing to third party programmers with little phone programming experience to develop phone sensing applications with social networking capabilities.

g-Eclipse is an integrated workbench framework to access the power of existing Grid infrastructures.  The framework is built on top of the reliable eco-system of the Eclipse community to enable a sustainable development and end-user support. The framework aims to provide tools to customize Grid users' applications, to manage Grid resources and to support the development cycle of new Grid applications. The g-Eclipse framework aims to be middleware agnostic and its architecture is designed to be extensible for many different Grid middlewares (such as gLite, GRIA, UNICORE, Globus toolkit). Currently g-Eclipse comes with exemplary support for the gLite and GRIA middlewares. In addition, an adapter to Amazon's Web services for the Amazon Simple Storage Service is available, that allows the control of instances in Amazon's Elastic Compute Cloud.
