Interacting with Cloud/Grid infrastructures using the Eclipse platform, 31st January 2013

trainingThe Laboratory for Internet Computing (LINC) is organizing a series of training events titled: "Interacting with Cloud/Grid infrastructures using the Eclipse platform". 
The objective of these events is to provide an in-depth coverage of the Eclipse platform and its capabilities to prospective Cloud/Grid application and services developers.

Participants will be introduced to the basics of Eclipse and consequently will familiarize with numerous advanced concepts such as the Plug-in Development Environment, 
Rich Client Platform, Modeling Framework, Communication Framework, Team Development, etc. The event will present best practices on how to programmatically utilize
standardized mechanisms for authenticating, querying and consequently accessing Grid/Cloud resources. All concepts will be accompanied with a series of examples and
hands-on programming. Finally, during the events training  current Grid/Cloud interaction frameworks based on the Eclipse platform will be presented and explained.

The event is open to participants with experience in Java programming language and fundamental concepts of Object Oriented Programming. Training sessions will be held
on a weekly basis, from 1st December 2012 until 31st January 2013, at the premises of the Department of Computer Science, University of Cyprus. For more details and
